GoToTags is looking to contract-to-hire a highly motivated, energetic and smart software developer to design and build the next generation of our C#/.NET based Windows NFC desktop software suite. GoToTags is a small, smart and efficient team focused on delivering software and physical products for the Internet of Things revolution.   • Responsible for our various Windows based software and hardware products (links below)
  • Maintain and enhance our internal NFC SDK
  • Maintain the existing software versions; bug fixes, incremental features…
  • Design and develop the next generation of our Windows software suite
  • Become an expert in the product and industry; able to define the product’s features based on customer and internal needs
  • Able to write public product documentation
  • Provide email tech support as needed to top-tier customers
  • Engage the external developer community to evangelize our products
  • Work closely with other team members in sales, engineering, finance, operations and management
  • Other tasks as needed

GoToTags Reel-Reel NFC Encoder Hardware

  • High school diploma required; college computer science or engineering degree preferred
  • Proven experience building .NET based Windows desktop software
  • Very strong understanding of C#/.NET, C++, Windows Forms, WPF
  • Able to write low-level code; threading, external I/O, USB…
  • Experience writing code for other developers; REST API clients; SDKs, nuget packages
  • Strong application architecture design skills; you can create an app from start to finish
  • Experience with external hardware integrations a huge bonus
  • Experience with Windows Mobile and Windows Store apps a bonus
  • Strong organizational skills with a high attention to detail, quality and accuracy
  • Very strong time management skills; self-tasking and prioritization
  • Proficient with Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Very capable at using the Internet to figure things out for yourself
  • Able to write technical documentation
  • Able to learn new systems and processes quickly and be able to improve on existing processes
  • Contract of 1-2 months; expected full-time after
  • 10-20 hrs/week for contract period
  • Located physically close to the office for short commute is a plus
  • Option to work at home part-time
  • Able to check emails remotely (home, phone…)
