Marketing Technical Evangelist – Spokane, WA, USA
As a Technical Evangelist at GoToTags, you’ll be the voice and pen behind our innovative products. Your mission is to create captivating content that drives commercial traffic and develop informative materials supporting our software, hardware, and robotics products. Collaborating with our dynamic team, you’ll craft messages that resonate with our audience, from detailed blog posts and technical help articles to engaging YouTube videos.
As the lead for our small but growing marketing team, you will have two primary goals:
- Create compelling content around GoToTags and related technologies to drive commercial traffic
- Develop informative content supporting our software, hardware, and robotics products
The content you develop must be optimized for maximum impact across a variety of channels, including our website, blog, help center, ecommerce platform, YouTube, ad campaigns, email marketing and social media.
You’ll be responsible for identifying what content needs to be created or updated, producing that content, publishing it, and tracking performance via analytics. Wash, rinse, repeat!
Success in this role requires you to become an expert in RFID and GoToTags, which means digging deep into the tech. The entire content development process will be augmented with AI. While you’ll receive support from the broader team to identify needs and brainstorm ideas, the responsibility for content execution lies mostly with you.

Responsibilities
- Collaborate with product owners to craft and execute a comprehensive marketing strategy
- Lead, mentor, and project-manage a team contributing to marketing efforts: writers, video producers, and technical experts
- Maintain a consistent brand identity across all marketing touchpoints
- Own the AI-based content rendering pipeline to improve content creation and effectiveness
- Use project management tools (e.g., GitLab) to plan and track marketing activities
- Produce four high-quality blog posts per month, including case studies, press releases, product updates, tutorials, etc.
- Expand and maintain a robust technical help content repository
- Create category and product content for the ecommerce store (store.gototags.com), including video
- Manage and maintain content across gototags.com
- Collaborate with the team to produce promotional and tutorial YouTube videos (scripting, acting, etc.)
- Build relationships with partners and customers for cross-marketing opportunities
- Review and optimize content for SEO
- Track and report on content effectiveness using tools such as Google Analytics, Search Console, and internal platforms
- Become a subject matter expert in the RFID industry and GoToTags products (with our help)
Skills and Experience
- Prior experience in technical marketing, including content writing
- Exceptional writing and communication skills, with a talent for storytelling
- Eagerness to embrace AI and leverage it fully
- Strong understanding of SEO principles
- High attention to detail, quality, and accuracy

GoToTags is experiencing rapid organic growth and is expanding the customer relationship team. Play a key role in our sales strategy as a first point of contact with potential customers. Execute front-line customer communication, answer technical questions and establish positive relationships with the expanding customer base. With primary leads coming through inbound queries and sales, you will prioritize and follow through on the leads to develop and grow customer revenue. In most cases you will own the customer relationship from order inquiry to completed sale while the
operational team supports the order fulfillment.
Responsibilities
- Learning and developing expertise in our products and services sufficient to address basic inquiries which encompass 80% of our inbound activity
- Servicing existing accounts, obtaining orders, and establishing new accounts by planning and organizing your daily work schedule to call on existing or potential customers
- Qualifying inbound leads generated from online store sales or customer queries and focusing sales efforts by studying existing and potential volume of orders placed
- Utilizing your business acumen to recognize potential opportunities for account and sales volume growth
- Monitor and interact with customers via online chat, inbound phone calls and inbound emails
- Support covers large breath of topics including but not limited to technology introduction and explanation, software support, product description and selection, support with placing online orders, placing orders for customers, supporting customers on orders-in-progress, shipping queries, and post-order support including returns, warranty claims, resolve customer complaints by investigating problems, developing solutions, and making recommendations to management
- Diligently managing data including updating lead statuses and contact information, recording all correspondences, tracking sales activity metrics and providing quotes
- Self-starter problem soving to identify internal experts and bridge the initial inbound communication with full-support from our team when query goes beyond current knowledge
- Managing inbound email to allocate responsibility to appropriate team member which includes but is not limited to customers, vendors, service providers, industry updates and spam
- Initiating production work-flows that instruct operational teams to fulfill orders
- Creating and reviewing customer data files, continuously improving processes
- Staying current on industry trends, including the internet of things and smart packaging
Skills and Experience
- Proficient, professional and clear communication skills: digital, written and oral, emphasis on listening and understanding customer’s needs, translate those needs into technical solutions, and influence decision making
