Desktop App Release v4.18.0

The Desktop App v4.18.0 was released on August 8th, 2024. This release adds some quality-of-life features to improve app navigation and tag encoding.

Features

The following are new and improved features for the Desktop App. If you would like to see a specific addition to the Desktop App, request a feature.

  • The Operation Chooser was given a new look and is no longer automatically sorted by tag technology. Now, optional filters can be selected to find the correct operation for specific use cases, technologies and quantities
  • Operation files can now be opened directly from the Operation Chooser
  • Added time and count statistics to all bulk encoding and reading operations
  • Added an optional second reader in Buffered NFC Tag Encoding for verifying encoded tags
  • Rows can now be removed from bulk read operations directly in the UI

Bug Fixes

The following are new bug fixes in the Desktop App. If you find a bug in the Desktop App, submit a bug report.

  • Fixed an issue where locking NFC tags using a PCSC2 reader would take much longer than expected
  • Fixed an issue where an unexpected UHF chip type would stop the reader from reading
  • Improved the error messaging when an invalid operation file is opened
