Connected Things: Person

A Connected Things person is a human that indirectly participates in an interaction. While people do not have the direct ability to communicate with tags or devices (yet), a person can participate in an interaction by proxy in two ways:

  1. A tag can be a proxy for a person, such that when a device interacts with a tag it is in effect interacting with the person. Examples include membership cards, id card, key chain tags…
  2. A device can be a proxy for a person; this is typically done with a mobile phone and app and a user registration system. When the device interacts with the tag, the person is inferred from the device so in effect the person is interacting with the tag.
