Store Sales Tax and Duties

Prices on the GoToTags Store are exclusive of tax and international duty.

Domestic USA Orders

All prices on the GoToTags Store are exclusive of tax. Prices quoted offline through email or phone also exclude tax. The GoToTags Store collects sales and use tax for some US states; if the order’s destination is a state where GoToTags collects sales and use taxes, those taxes will be applied at checkout. The customer is responsible for any other local sales or use taxes.

Resellers and other entities that are exempt from sales and use taxes shall provide their government-issued exemption certificate by email or fax. Customer accounts with a valid exemption certificate on file will not have sales and use taxes applied.

Certain custom orders with a US destination may have a shipping origin that is not the US. The customer is responsible for the import duty on these orders and will pay those directly to the customs office when the product arrives at a US port. The GoToTags Store will not collect for this duty at checkout.

The customer is encouraged to contact the GoToTags Store with any questions about tax or duty.

Domestic Canada Orders

All prices on the GoToTags Store are exclusive of GST, HST, and PST. Prices quoted offline through email or phone also exclude tax. If the order’s destination is Canada and the order ships from within the country, GoToTags will contact the customer to collect payment for the order in CAD currency with applicable taxes applied.

Resellers that are exempt from HST and PST shall provide their government-issued tax registration number by email or fax. Customer accounts with a valid tax registration number on file will not have HST and PST applied.

International Duty and Tax

Orders where the delivery address is outside the United States may be subject to import duty, tax, and fees which are levied once the product shipment reaches the customer’s country. Any duty, tax, or fees are the responsibility of the customer. Since customs policies vary widely from country to country, the GoToTags Store advises the customer to contact their local customs office for further information.

EU VAT

All prices on the GoToTags Store are exclusive of duty and the European Union’s (EU) Value-Added Tax (VAT). If an order is shipped from any GoToTags origin into the EU, any duty or VAT will be assessed by the government once the shipment enters the country of the shipment destination.

It is the customer’s responsibility to pay the duty and VAT when receiving a shipment. The GoToTags Store does not assess duty or VAT in its website pricing or prices quoted offline via email or phone. If the customer fails to pay the assessed duty or VAT, the courier will only hold the product for a short period before abandoning it; abandoned products will not be delivered and customers will not be refunded.
