Store Products

General information about the products sold on the GoToTags Store including the yield rate on NFC tags, how to obtain sample products for testing and evaluation, and information about the specifications the GoToTags Store provides for the products it sells.

Tag Yield

RFID tags purchased from the GoToTags Store are guaranteed to deliver a 98% yield of functioning (non-defective) tags. GoToTags adheres to the industry standard of 2% expected defective RFID tags, yet the percentage tends to be much lower in practice. Warranty and returns are based on this 2% expectation; therefore, GoToTags will not replace defective RFID tags within this 2% allowance. When a minimum quantity of functional RFID tags is required, GoToTags advises increasing the amount purchased by 2% to account for potential defective RFID tags.

GoToTags may remove any defective tags identified during the production or encoding and ship the order without them. If the shortage exceeds 2%, GoToTags will refund the difference or arrange delivery of the missing tags later.

RFID tags can become defective after delivery due to environmental factors or secondary processing such as welding, bending, or forceful pressing. Such damage voids the warranty. Customers planning secondary processing or embedding RFID tags should carefully review product specifications and perform testing to ensure compatibility and performance. Additionally, GoToTags can be contacted for advice on the RFID tag best suited to the project.

Specifications

The GoToTags Store provides comprehensive specifications related to the manufacture, composition, and performance attributes of the products it sells. However, some specifications can change over time.

The following are typical examples:

  • Chemical composition of materials, including paper, ink, adhesives, ferrite, and other components
  • RFID antenna shape, size, position and material
  • Minor variances in shape, size and color
  • Printing process

The customer should check published specifications to ensure they have not changed negatively since a previous purchase. If an unacceptable change is identified, contact GoToTags to discuss whether the prior specifications may be available for the customer order. The customer should also compare specifications against the physical product upon receipt.

Samples

The GoToTags Store always recommends testing with a sample quantity of tags in the application environment before placing a bulk order. The minimum order quantity for most products in the Store is low, allowing the customer to buy small amounts or similar products for testing.

Generally, the GoToTags Store does not provide free product samples. Exceptions to this policy are sometimes made under the following circumstances:

  • The customer is paying a new mold fee; samples are included
  • Similar samples are on hand from a previous customer’s order; they may be free
  • Samples requested that are not on hand may be available for production at a reasonable cost

The customer must cover the cost of shipping samples. Sample orders will be placed on the GoToTags Store for tracking purposes.
